What is the Salt Lake Education Foundation?

The Salt Lake Education Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to strengthening the educational opportunities of students in the Salt Lake City School District. The Foundation seeks funds and in–kind donations from BUSINESSES, INDIVIDUALS, CORPORATIONS, CIVIC GROUPS, AGENCIES, AND FOUNDATIONS. University of Utah Faculty, Staff, and Student Coat and Hoodie Drive

From December 1 - 14, the University Staff Council is partnering with the Salt Lake Education Foundation to collect new coats, sweatshirts, and hoodies for children and teens in the Salt Lake Valley. Coats are needed in all sizes - from newborns to age 18. Over 55,000 children and teens qualify for free lunch and tens of thousands more live in poverty in the Salt Lake Valley.

DMC's Holiday Toy Depot

The Holiday Toy Depot is a program created to help families provide toys and gifts for their children ages 1-18. The Depot will specifically benefit children who attend Washington Elementary School and surrounding Title I Schools. During the Holiday Toy Depot at Washington Elementary School, located at 420 North 200 West, on Monday, Dec. 5, from 12-10 p.m., parents and guardians will be able to select 1 or 2 gifts for each of their children.
