As part of the $735 million bond Salt Lake City School District was able to secure, West High and Highland High will be completely rebuilt. Each school will feature a 3,600 square foot school-based health clinic. The school district is supplying the shell space. Our partner, University of Utah Health, will staff and furnish both clinics with medical equipment. The Salt Lake Education Foundation is tasked with raising $2 million for architectural plans, electrical, plumbing, medical gas needs, and finishing the interior space.

The Since opening at West High School 3,068 student visits have been completed (February 24, 2024-September 30, 2025), 552 sports physicals were done at no cost to the student or family, 1,172 behavioral health visits were completed, and 970 total mental health counseling sessions. School-based health clinics are vital to the success and health of our students.
