This is a

once-in-a-generation opportunity

to reshape the economic mobility

for thousands of students.

Salt Lake City School District is taking a bold step forward: transforming the former Riley Elementary campus into a state-of-the-art Career & Technical Center (CTC). The center will ignite opportunities for students by sparking curiosity, fueling ambition, and opening pathways to futures filled with possibility.

Our students have rich cultural backgrounds, multilingual strengths, entrepreneurial spirits, and a deep drive to succeed. This center will build on those assets. Through hands-on learning, industry-recognized credentials, and partnerships with Utah’s leading employers, students will gain the skills and confidence to step into high-demand, high-wage careers. This work strengthens not only our students’ futures but Utah’s future.

Our state is growing rapidly, with critical workforce needs in healthcare, technology, advanced manufacturing, aerospace, business, and the skilled trades. Our CTC will help meet these needs by preparing homegrown talent to lead, innovate, and thrive. Together, we can ignite possibilities for future generations. I invite you to join us by strengthening our efforts with your support.

Providing career pathways in high school is essential to changing lives, supporting local employers, and strengthening our state. With industry-recognized credentials and real-world preparation, students can enter the workforce ready to succeed and without significant student debt.

A centralized CTC will eliminate the waitlist, expand access, and align programs with Utah’s most critical workforce needs. With your partnership, we will ensure every student in Salt Lake City School District has a pathway to purpose, prosperity, and possibility.
